My group and I only play old editions D&D (1e, B/X, Ad&D). So, classic paladins only to everyone! ☺️

I do prefer the classic take on what a paladin is. It makes no sense that they 'get power from an oath' and don't need a deity. Diluting classes makes them less interesting.

My Preferred point for Paladins was 3.5e Unearthed Arcana Book There was a Paladin for each of the "extreme" alignments, LG/CG/LE/CE Paladin of Honor/Freedom/Tyranny/Slaughter

Awesome! I hate what 5E did to Paladins. They went from an ideal to strive for, to anyone that just really likes beer is now a paladin of the oath of oats. I also like that you point out that living by an oath, is a Lawful trait, not neutral nor chaotic. I like that 5E has a nice simple streamline for new players to learn, but it is so shallow. There just isn't the same depth as earlier editions and I don't see it getting better.

Wait, if I'm understanding the intent correctly, that second Mecha-Strong Sad photo might have taken the interpretation of "drone footage" in a slightly different direction. It's not footage by a drone. It's footage, or at least one frame of imagined footage, *of* drones. As in, robots.
